Setasilk Water Based Guttas have a thick consistency and are ideal for creating outlines using the traditional Serti technique. The colors have a pearlescent quality that adds a touch of shimmer to your silk creations. These guttas can be applied directly from the tube and nozzle, or with a pipette and Gutta nib, effortlessly flowing into the silk fibers to create a barrier for the colors.

After the Guttas have been iron fixed, Setasilk can be applied over them. All of the colored guttas can be washed after fixing with an iron, except for the colorless Gutta which is designed to wash out, leaving a white line on the fabric where it was applied. The opaque and pearly colors are non-toxic and comply with ASTM D-4236 standards.

The colored water-based guttas come in a set of 5 assorted colors, each packaged in convenient 20ml metal tubes with a nozzle for easy application. These guttas can be used on all types of silk, drying in just 30 minutes when exposed to air.

To fix the setasilk water based guttas, simply iron the fabric on the reverse side for 3 to 4 minutes with a hot iron. After 48 hours, the guttas will withstand hand washing and dry cleaning, ensuring your designs stay vibrant and beautiful.
