The Setasilk Water Based colorless Gutta is a thick consistency product used for creating outlines using the Serti technique. It is applied directly from the tube or nozzle, or with a pipette and Gutta nib, flowing easily into the silk fibers to create a barrier for the color. Setasilk color is then applied after the Gutta.

The Colorless Gutta is designed to wash out, leaving a white line on the fabric where it was applied. It conforms to ASTM D-4236 standards and is available in 20ml metal tubes with a nozzle, as well as in 250ml bottles. The Setasilk Water Based Gutta can be used on all types of silk, and the colors dry in 30 minutes.

After fixing, the colorless gutta can be washed out 48 hours later, revealing a white line on the fabric. The decorated fabrics are resistant to hand washing and dry cleaning once the gutta has been fixed. The Setasilk Water Based Gutta can be used directly from the tube or nozzle, or with a pipette and Gutta nib.
